This is a selection of some original watercolours which I have been painting since 2004, inspired by the landscapes of the UK, Egypt and Bali and by the human figure. I am presently working in Bali, where I continue to be driven to try to capture the uniqueness of the light falling both on landscapes and on figures. It strikes me every time I take up a brush how different the quality of the light is to the light which floods the English countryside, where painting began for me.
